Belgium Marijuana Laws
The government of Belgium has recently initiated trials for determining the effectiveness of medical cannabis though the drug still remains illegal. The possession of cannabis in Belgium is illegal (decriminalized) and sale, cultivation, and transportation of it is illegal. However, adults can consume and possess quantities of up to 3 grams or one female plant in their homes.
Cannabis was differentiated from other illicit substances under laws introduced in the first half of 2003 and cannabis users can face action only if they stay away from problematic drug use or public nuisance.
